Meet the Director/Owner:
Elizabeth Rayburn

I have been in education for over 15 years in the Washoe County School District. I have a Master’s Degree in Children’s Literature and Educational Leadership from the University of Nevada Reno, a teaching English Language Learners endorsement and most recently completed my Child Care Directors Certificate through the Child Care Education Institute. My passion is early literacy and providing preschool aged children with a positive school experience.

As the director of Creative World, I focus on school readiness, physical development and social emotional well-being of all students. I believe Creative World does a phenomenal job providing students with hands on curriculum that follow Nevada’s pre-kindergarten standard. When our students move on to elementary school, I am confident that they are more than prepared.

Being a classroom teacher myself for several years, I know that my teachers are my school’s greatest asset. Creative World offers wages greater than the industry standard as well as health, vision, dental, and life insurance benefits. All staff members are CPR and First Aid Certified and are required to take continuing education classes.

Communication with families is of the utmost importance to me and I maintain an open door policy. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me at any time with any questions, comments or concerns. A Space Designed for Exploration and Fun

Our campus features a half-acre landscaped playground with plenty of room for adventure. From our commercial swing sets and jungle gym to tricycle paths, a basketball net, soccer goals, and a sandbox, every corner encourages active play and development. We also offer on-site swim lessons, gymnastics, and free play, all designed to support your child’s physical growth and confidence.

Learning That Sparks Curiosity

Our hands-on curriculum follows Nevada State Pre-K Standards, combining science, math, art, and literature to foster creativity and critical thinking. Technology is seamlessly integrated into daily learning with iPads, while our spacious multi-purpose room provides space for group activities, music, and even a bounce house on cold days!

Health, Safety, and Comfort

Your child’s health is our priority. We provide organic snacks, milk, and filtered water, along with thick, comfortable nap pads to ensure rest and relaxation. Our classrooms are sanitized daily using eco-friendly products, and our teacher-child ratios are kept intentionally low for personalized attention.

A Welcoming Community

We believe in creating a strong partnership with families. Parents are welcome to visit during the day, participate in special events, and stay connected with us through our daily Facebook updates, showcasing the fun and learning happening at Creative World.

Rosie just finished her 3rd and final year at Creative World, and it was sad to leave. They worked hard through the years to provide a safe and engaging environment for the kids where they learn right from wrong in a supportive way, and we're very glad we made the decision we did. Rosie made great friends and virtually all the kids in her classes were the kind of kids we were happy to have Rosie be around, sweet, innocent, and playful. When we first looked for a place for our baby Rosie to join when she turned 2, we went all over Reno and toured many places, most of which turned us off a lot for various reasons -- we only wanted the very best for Rosie. Creative World was the first we walked into where the kids looked like they were happy, having fun, and engaged by the teachers, and after 3 years we feel they maintained that environment throughout. My impression is that the owner . . . works very hard for the welfare of each child.
